You should have in your pack:

 

16 wooden lolly sticks

4 pieces of tracing paper – one printed

Battery operated candle.

 

This craft requires lots of time to allow glue to dry between stages – be patient!

 

1. Using PVA or a hot glue gun if you have one, glue the lolly sticks to form 4 squares. Allow these to dry.                                                         

2. While you’re waiting, you can design your other ‘windows’. Use felt tip pens to colour with. You can draw any design you like. Once they’re done, stick one to each square of wood. Make sure when you stick the bible verse on, put it face down so it will read the right way round when the box goes together!   

3. This needs to be left to dry again – you may need to put a heavy object on top to prevent them from warping! Take care as it may stick to them.                                                                 

4. Using tape – sellotape or masking tape, stick the four squares together to make a box. You’ll need 2 pairs of hands for this bit! Place your candle inside and watch it glow.
